COPY CAT PRINTING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions apply to and are binding to any customers who place orders with Copy Cat Printing. Please advise if there is anything that you do not understand, as Copy Cat Printing will not be held liable once an order has been put through as it will be assumed that these terms have been read, understood and accepted.
1.1 All quotes are valid up to 30 days, Copy Cat can withdraw a quote if quoted incorrectly or if incorrect information was provided by the customer.
1.2 All prices are subject to paper price increases and subject to press and paper availability at the time of the printing.
1.3 All quotes are provided with the assumption that the artwork provided is print ready with appropriate bleeds. However, if this is not the case then setup charges can apply.
1.4 All quotes are provided for normal turn-around time, unless stated otherwise, if urgent printing is required a request needs to be made during the quoting process.
1.5 Quotes are for printing only and do not include freight/courier or installation of signage materials unless states otherwise.
1.6 Regular printing rates can be locked in to alleviate pricing around upon request and discussion with Copy Cat management.
1.7 When comparing quotes with reputable printers, the customers are to check if the paper quality and GSM thick is the same before requesting a price match or a better price.
2.1 Full payment needs to be made before work can be commenced on the job.
2.2 Payment can be made via cash, direct deposit and all major credit cards (3% surcharge applies on Amex
3. Files and Artwork Design
3.1 Files need to be provided in a .pdf format, sized correctly to the print size that is required.
3.2 Most documents require a 3mm bleed on each side for trimming purposes, and all text and images a further 4mm from the cutting line and if unsure please contact us before sending the file.
3.3 For overly large files (over 10megs) Copy Cat suggests using Wetransfer, Dropbox, Mailbigfile, Yousendit or similar instead of email to avoid bounce backs.
3.4 If files are being designed by Copy Cat, they remain the property of the company until the full payment for the design has been made and cannot be reproduced without prior written permission or consent.
4.1 Proofs provided to customers are for content demonstration purposes only may not be true and accurate to colour rendition of the final product as digital and offset printing have different outputs.
4.2 The customer is fully responsible to check the artwork is correctly set up to meet their requirements, including text, positioning, spelling and numbers.
4.3 In house printing proofing includes up to 3 proofs supplied at no charge. A $10.00 charge thereafter will be charged for each proof supplied.
4.4 Offset proofs may be charged per proof due to the setup of printing plates and large printing presses.
4.5 Copy Cat takes no responsibility for any artwork supplied incorrectly or files that were corrupted through the transition from the client’s computer to our system.Unless the customer had requested a proof prior to the commencement of the job, it job will not be reprinted.
4.6 Copy Cat suggest requesting a printed proof/sample where possible to see the finish product and for the purposes of colour matching and to make sure it meets the client’s standards.
4.7 Once the proof has been approved, Copy Cat cannot be held liable for the printed material not meeting the customers satisfaction.
5. Colour Matching and Product Information
5.1 When placing the order with Copy Cat Printing the customer acknowledges that they have read and understood the information mentioned on the proof sheet provided and have made any needed changes required to the artwork.
6.Errors and Reprints
6.1 Reprints will occur at the digression of Copy Cat Management
6.2 Copy Cat is not responsible for any errors that were approved in the proof.
6.3 Copy Cat also has a right to refuse a reprint free of charge if the proofing process was rushed through due to time constraints, incorrectly embedded fonts, colours or general file issues.
6.4 If reprints are required due to reasons mentioned in 6.2 and 6.3, they will be at the cost of the customer.
6.5 Upon receiving the products, clients have 3 days to open any dispute or discrepancy claims.
7.1 The times mentioned below are only an estimate and start from when both the artwork has been approved and payment received.
7.2 General in-house printing takes up to 2-3 days depending on the quantity requested
7.3 Offset or Special printing can take 3-10 days depending on what has been requested
7.4 If printing is required urgently this needed to be disclosed when putting an order through,
7.4.1 For urgent printing, an urgency charge of up 20% can apply
7. 4.2 Copy Cat printing holds no responsibility if deadlines must be pushed due to any technical difficulties they may occur.
7.5 Copy Cat reserves the right to substitute paper stock or requote if the quoted stock is unavailable or inadequate at the time of order.
8. Freight and Courier
8.1 Freight and courier costs depend on the destination, quantity and weight of printed material.
8.2 Copy Cat takes no responsibility for courier shortfalls once the printing has left the companies premises
8.3 Payments need to be made in full before orders can be dispatched.
8.4 Copy Cat can provide clients with tracking numbers upon request, when possible.
